What's going on with Cathy and Heathcliffe? Have you ladies finished reading their story? I read this for my English A level years ago and it is AMAZING, it would feel wonderfully nostalgic to re-read it and discuss it!
Perhaps a Jane Austen novel? Maybe one of the ones not everyone's as familiar with such as Northanger Abbey, Mansfield Park, or Persuasion? Or perhaps something different like Madame Bovary, Middle March, or something short sweet such as a play?
i moved where my heart had drifted off to long before. i live on a hill of hundred acres, where my dreams have merged with the view. it is quiet from machine noises yet loud with sounds of horses, dogs, cats chickens and ducks. nature is the true artist in resident and i am just her apprentice who often gets lost in her gaze. once and a while i travel back to cities and foreign places to put into photographs what i have learned, yet always, part of my heart is left on the hill..
I wanted to start a blogger book club. My reading has suffered a little bit and it got me thinking of one the reasons why is my time on the internet. i thought how great would it be to dive in a book here in the farm house, while you are diving into the same book in your part of the world. I believed choosing a book would be the most difficult, so i have decided on the classics!
how it works
.every month a book will be selected
.you would prepare a meal, dessert or drink that related to the book( up to your interpretation) and you can enjoy while reading! .we would all post about the book on the same day
.the post could include photographs, artwork or music that made you think of the book.
.what you cooked/drank and why
.it can also include the cover of your version of the book!
got the book -- this time I promise I'll read it! :)
ReplyDeletethis is one I haven't read and I'm happy it's been selected. thanks Nadia.
