Ethan Frome by Ethith Wharton
my dear readers many years ago, i found myself in front of the television catching the middle of a film i did not even know the title of. yet i found myself so drawn to the story that when it ended i knew i had to read the book, being young, too young to have watched it to begin with, i never found out the title that is until a month ago when discussing the next book with a dear new friend who mentioned it, i realized this is that story.
to tell you the truth yesterday i contemplated continuing a theme that had started, the one were the book i chose title would have the name of the main character who would continue to be a female, such as Tess did and Jane, what do you think should i have gone with that or should we get to know the gentlemen who's story are being told...
i have received so many post about Jane Eyre i will be sharing one a day starting tuesday.

ReplyDeleteEdith Wharton is one of my favorite authors; Ethan Frome was required reading for one of my college courses. It left a lasting impression on me and was my introduction to the "tragic hero" in literature. good choice Nadia.
ReplyDeleteI love Edith Wharton! I have just finished to read The Bunner sisters and I´ve liked it a lot. I can not remember if I read Ethan Frome before... When moving I arranged the books by colours, And I can not remember the colour it was...
